Our Schedule & Class Descriptions

Welcome to Yoga Studio 225!

Welcome HOME!! We’re so glad you found us!

The teachers at Yoga Studio 225 have your physical, emotional, and mental health as our first priority. We honor all levels of ability, all body types, all ages, all humans. We value and encourage community and connectedness.

Our studio is small, quaint, and cozy, which means space is limited. We require students to sign up ahead of time. Classes fill up quick, but our software offers a waitlist system.

Cancellation Policy: Students can remove themselves from a class registration up to one hour prior to the start of class. Failure to remove a reservation prior to 60 minutes before class will result in the student being charged the full amount for that class. Sometimes our waitlist is just as long as our class list! ;)

We value your time, so classes start and end on time. We suggest getting to class a few minutes ahead of time to get comfy in your spot. Our door lovingly locks at the start of class.

Bring your own mat OR borrow one of ours!

We also burn incense in our studio. If you are sensitive to this, please email at least 12 hours before your class so we can adjust for your wellness.

Our studio plays music responsibly through YogiTunes streaming services.

 Our Class Descriptions

Chair Yoga

Chair Yoga brings the best of a yoga practice to those who require or prefer the support of a chair. We explore versions of twists, hip stretches, forward bends and mild backbends. The class helps us stay healthy, vibrant and confident by focusing on developing small and large muscle groups, stretching, balancing [beside or behind the chair] and strength building. Chair yoga helps maintain mobility, improve flexibility, cultivate mindfulness and increase body awareness.

Energizing Flow

This one hour powerful, energizing yoga class will get your heart pumping as you move through the most basic and intermediate yoga poses. Each class will begin nice and easy, holding each pose for alignment and muscle memory. As we move through the class, we become more fluid and flowing, allowing the student to deepen their connection with their own breath and body. This class will leave you feeling energized, powerful, and a little sweaty!

“Easy Like Sunday Morning” Yoga

This is just like it sounds. Easy Yoga. On Sunday mornings. Never tried yoga?  This is for you! This is a very basic class where we will explore stretching and poses in an easy-does-it manner. Beginner friendly.

Gentle Yoga

Gentle yoga is perfect for those who want a soft, slow-pace, nurturing and well supported class. The instructor will guide the student through breath-work, meditation, gentle stretching, and carefully orchestrated yoga poses. This is a wonderful class for beginners, seniors, those who have movement limitations/injuries, or anyone looking for a less-intense, non-strenuous yoga experience.

Warm Gentle

Just like Gentle Yoga. But the heat is turned up! Not hot yoga.

Power Vinyasa

Power Vinyasa is a dynamic and challenging class that offers students the perfect balance of cardio and yoga. This class emphasizes the power of breath control and mindfulness, allowing students to experience the physical and mental benefits of the practice.

We start with sun salutations & work up to more challenging postures. Throughout the class, students learn to flow from one posture to the next in conjunction with the breath, which helps to deepen the mind-body connection and promote relaxation.

The intensity of the class will help you SWEAT, which helps detoxify the body and increase flexibility.

After we flow (and sweat), we come down to the mat for stretching a restful Savasana, allowing students to fully integrate the benefits of the practice.

Slow Flow

Slowly move through an intentional sequence focused on strength, flexibility, and alignment while enjoying some slightly longer holds of postures. Class will start with mindful breathing to settle into practice. The flow starts with floor movements that gradually grow into standing and balance postures before finding our way back down to the mat. A variety of modifications will be offered to tailor the postures to individual needs and facilitate pain free functional movement, both on and off the mat.

Slow Strength

The benefit of moving slowly is that you get more time to experience how your body moves from pose to pose. you will have the time to focus on your alignment and chose the modifications that best suit you. the slow steady pace results in a deep stretch + strength combo on the mat and increased mobility off the mat. you’ll leave feeling cool, calm and collected. The juice is in the squeeze. Being strong, confident, and powerful is the juice you’ll get from this class; squeezed from slow, steady transitions and multi-breath holds during the majority of poses.

Yoga Core

Yoga Core helps you develop a strong and stable core, combining traditional poses with the best of Pilates. This fun, upbeat class will keep you motivated while targeting your abdomen, glutes, lower back, and pelvis muscles. This 0 minute class will increase your mind-body connection, posture, and overall fitness & health.

Yoga Restore

Yoga Restore begins with some gentle stretching and movement, and ends with a restorative pose (or two) that is designed to help the body rest and restore.  Restorative poses can be best described as “profound effortlessness, facilitated by the use of props.” Students will find deep release through this long-held pose. This is a great class for the winter months, as it helps us remember that there is virtue in the Art of Rest.
